Solemn Pontifical Mass
This year's celebration of the Feast of the Sacred Heart culminates in a Solemn Pontifical Mass celebrated by Bishop Fernando Areas Rifan of the Apostolic Administration of St. John Mary Vianney.
TIME & DATE: The Mass will begin at 7 PM on Friday, June 19, 2009.
LOCATION: The Mass will be held at the Church of St. Jean Baptiste, Fr. Anthony Schueller, SSS, pastor. St. Jean Baptiste is located at 184 East 76th Street in Manhattan.

Interior photograph of the High Altar of the Church of St. Jean Baptiste. The High Altar rises to a height of fifty feet and is 26 feet wide and 28 feet deep. The mensa is made of fawn-colored marble and is reached by five steps of green Alpine marble inlaid with other marbles and Venetian mosaics. The Tabernacle is a miniature church, Renaissance style, with pilasters and columns of rare marble surmounted by a dome. The Monstrance which dominates the center of the altar, is six feet in height.
